Mikko Almgren – Parliamentary Candidate

Why would I be suitable as a Member of Parliament?

– I am in touch with current affairs and possess political experience and insight due to my role as a city councilor and former regional councilor.

I am a long-standing nurse and have worked in a wide variety of roles, including as a supervisor.

I currently work as a nurse in the care sector, for which I hope to secure significant additional resources as a future Member of Parliament. The number of elderly people and those with dementia will increase considerably in Finland in the coming years. This requires urgent action.

You will receive stability and vision grounded in Christian values when you vote for me.

My most important themes in the parliamentary election campaign

Finland’s economy has stagnated or grown extremely slowly for nearly 18 years.

The direction must change. This absolutely requires broad parliamentary cooperation across party lines.

Self-sufficiency and security of supply must be guaranteed in Finland. This includes further strengthening the revitalization of agriculture. In this way, people’s basic needs can be secured in possible societal crisis situations.

Families with children must be taken into account considerably better. Families are the cornerstone of society. Child benefits, parental allowances, and childcare support must be made adequate based on individual needs assessment. Low-income families and single-parent families must be given better consideration than at present. Children must be guaranteed a peaceful upbringing. Finland’s future depends on them.

The elderly must be cared for better than at present, regardless of social status, age, and gender.

The transgender law enacted by the previous government is a deplorable failure.

Currently, gender confirmation is based on an adult’s own application, and the process was detached from medical facts and proven evidence.

Parties that like to present themselves as champions of scientific facts fell into a “gut feeling” approach at this point, leaving science and facts coldly aside.

This “I feel like this now” law must under no circumstances be extended to our underage children and young people.

National defense must be credible; this requires adequate resources. A military vacuum is always filled.

Freedom of speech and expression has narrowed in Finland. Let us together halt this worrying development.

My Campaign Slogan

Let us together avoid Finland’s bankruptcy. Put me to work in Parliament.
